DISCLAIMER: Zelle is a registered trademark of Early Warning Services, LLC, for financial transaction services, namely, providing secure payment and money transfer options and permitting account holders to make payment requests.  Early Warning Services is a limited liability company owned by seven of the largest U.S. banks – Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Truist, Capital One, JPMorgan Chase, PNC Bank and U.S. Bank. On February 2, 2022, Early Warning Services (“EWS”) announced that nearly half a trillion dollars was sent by consumers and businesses with Zelle in 2021.  However, EWS and its big-bank owners have not publicly reported the total amount of Zelle Fraud in 2021, including bank customer losses based on the refusal by EWS, its big-bank owners and financial institutions using the Zelle payment network to reimburse Zelle Fraud victims.
